1930s Six-Gore Skirt Sewing Pattern | Waist 26 Inch

This mid-1930s four-panel skirt has the slim, close-fitting shape that was becoming increasingly popular during the decade. Fitted over the hips before falling into a clean, straight silhouette, it features a side placket fastening and a faced waist instead of a separate waistband, giving it a neat, uncluttered finish.

Designed for a 26-inch waist and 35-inch hips, the finished skirt measures approximately 31½ inches in length.

No fabric recommendations were included with the original pattern, but lightweight suiting, wool crepe, flannel or a stable Ponte Roma would all be suitable choices. A fabric with a soft drape will give the best result, while very heavy or stiff materials are best avoided.
