This 1940s knitting pattern creates a classic dogtooth Fair Isle sweater with a neat, tailored fit.
It’s written for two sizes and includes options for both long and short sleeves, so you can adapt
it to suit your style.
Worked in traditional 3 ply yarn on No. 9 and 12 needles, it produces a lightweight fabric with
a clean vintage finish. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and you can substitute
4 ply if preferred, just check your tension first.
Designed to fit a bust of 31–33 inches (33–35 inches), with a length from shoulder of 18.5
inches (19 inches). Sleeve lengths are 18 inches (18.5 inches) for long or 4.5 inches
(5 inches) for short.
