Haslam Illustrated Book of Drafting No. 9 is a wonderfully varied 1930s collection covering everyday clothing, smart tailoring and evening wear, together with lingerie and a selection of designs for children.

The book includes dresses, suits, coats and jackets, evening gowns, lingerie, skirts and blouses, together with collars and jabots that offer further possibilities for adapting the designs. It gives a particularly good cross-section of 1930s fashion, from practical separates and daywear through to more formal styles.

The foundation drafting system is included within this book, allowing the designs to be drafted to individual measurements. You will still need the Haslam Drafting Boards to complete the drafting process.

Rather than using ready-sized sewing patterns, the Haslam System of Dresscutting allows you to create each garment from the foundation and adapt the design to your own measurements.
