Ladies 1940s Cherry Fair Isle Jumper Knitting Pattern (34–36 Bust)

This original Fair Isle jumper knitting pattern features a classic cherry motif, with cherries
worked in red and green, on a soft pastel or white background. The design includes both
written knitting instructions and easy-to-follow colour charts, making it suitable for
knitters familiar with Fair Isle techniques.

The pattern is sized to fit a 34–36 inch bust and was originally knitted using Copley’s
Excelsior Wool 3-ply. To complete the jumper, you will need 5 oz (142 g) of the main
colour, 2 oz (60 g) of green, and 1 oz (29 g) of red. Knitting is worked using 3.25 mm
(UK No. 10) and 2.75 mm (UK No. 12) needles, with a medium-sized crochet hook
required for finishing.

19 stitches to 2 inches and 9 rows to 1 inch over the Fair Isle pattern.
