Haslam Illustrated Book of Drafting No. 23 is the 1953 Coronation Edition, a Spring and Summer collection featuring a varied selection of fashions from the early 1950s.

The book includes drafting instructions for dresses, suits and coats, together with beachwear, giving a good mix of smart daywear, tailoring and lighter summer styles. The designs capture the fitted shapes and feminine silhouettes associated with 1950s fashion.

The garments are created using the Haslam System of Dresscutting, allowing you to draft your chosen design to your own measurements rather than working from a standard-sized sewing pattern.

To use the designs you will need the Haslam Foundation Drafting Instructions and Drafting Boards. These are used to prepare your personal foundation before adapting it with the drafting instructions for your chosen design.
