1950s Bandeau Boob Tube & Off-Shoulder Top Knitting Pattern – Bust 34

This 1950s knitting pattern includes two sun tops: a strapless bandeau or boob-tube style top and an off-shoulder sweater.

The bandeau was originally knitted in Sirdar Majestic 4-ply wool on old UK No. 11 needles, with a stated tension of 8 stitches to one inch when slightly stretched.

The off-shoulder version was designed for Sirdar Crepe wool and uses old UK No. 10 and No. 12 needles. As the exact modern equivalent of this vintage yarn is uncertain, I recommend choosing a substitute by matching the stated tension of 7½ stitches to one inch.
