1950s Fair Isle Reindeer & Traditional Beanie Knitting Patterns – Adult & Child Sizes

This vintage knitting pattern includes a selection of beanie designs, ranging from a reindeer motif to more traditional patterned caps.

The hats are worked in double knitting yarn using old UK No. 8 and No. 9 needles. A set of four double-pointed needles is also required for the child’s cap.

The adult beanies are designed to fit an average adult head, while the child’s version is sized for approximately 8–12 years.
