1950s Draped Cocktail Dress Sewing Pattern – Two Neckline Styles

This 1950s sewing pattern is for a draped dress that can be made for either day or cocktail wear, with a choice of two neckline styles.

The soft draping is the main feature of the design, with the two neckline options allowing a different finish from the same pattern.

Suitable fabrics for the dress include wool or silk jersey, fine lightweight woollens and brushed rayon. Taffeta or soft satin can be used for the lining.

The pattern is drafted for a 34-inch bust, 27-inch waist and 37-inch hip and is best suited to an intermediate sewer upwards.
