This bolero twinset from 1954 pairs a V-neck sweater with a matching cropped bolero,
both worked in an eye-catching zig-zag stitch. The two pieces are designed to be worn
together as a coordinated set, with clean lines and a structured finish.
After knitting and making up, each garment is finished with a single row of beads or
rhinestones, letting you choose how subtle or decorative the final look will be. The
pattern is worked in 4-ply yarn on 3mm and 2.75mm needles to create a firm, well
defined fabric. It’s written to fit a 34–35 inch bust, with the sweater measuring
approximately 18½ inches from the shoulder and the bolero around 16 inches in
length.
