1950s Flared Coat Sewing Pattern – Shaped Collar & Deep Cuffs, Bust 34

This vintage sewing pattern is for a gently flared coat with a shaped collar and three-button front fastening.

The coat has dropped-shoulder armholes and long two-piece sleeves finished with deep turn-back cuffs. Pockets are neatly set into the side-front seams, and an optional fur collar can be added for an alternative finish.

Suitable fabrics include camel hair, tweed, alpaca and wool broadcloth, or similar coating fabrics with enough body to hold the shape of the coat.

The pattern is drafted for a 34-inch bust, 28-inch waist and 37-inch hip and is best suited to an intermediate sewer.
