1940’s Wartime Puff Sleeve Twin Set Knitting Pattern Bust 34

A really lovely example of a wartime Twin Set. It’s mainly worked in reverse stocking stitch
with ribbed welts, and a pretty Catkin pattern running up the back and fronts. The sweater
has short sleeves and back neck opening, the cardigan has shoulder pads which you can
leave out if preferred.

To Fit a 34 inch Bust

Original yarn used was 15 ozs.(approx 426g) of Daphne Crochet Wool by Lincoln Mills
Australia (Light Fingering 3 ply 100% Wool). 96 meters to 25 grams. A pair each. No. 10
(3.25mm) and No. 12 (2.75mm) needles. 3 small and 6 large buttons.

TENSION: 8 sts. and 10 rows to 1 inch
