This Lady’s Twinset features a dainty, very feminine cross-over jumper with a small V-neck,
perfect to wear on its own or together with the matching button-up cardigan jacket. A classic
1940s vintage twin set knitting pattern, the design reflects the elegant and flattering style
typical of the era.
The garments were originally worked in Copley’s 2-ply Excelsior wool (approximately 14 WPI,
similar to modern 4-ply yarn). The recommended knitting needles are UK No.10 (3.25 mm)
and UK No.12 (2.75 mm).
Measurements: The Cardigan: Length from top of shoulder to lower edge: 20 inches
Width all round underarm to fit a 34 inch bust. Length of sleeve seam: 18½ inches
The Jumper: Length from top of shoulder to lower edge: 18 inches. Width all round at
underarm to fit a 34 inch bust. Length of sleeve seam: 6 inches
Tension: 8 stitches and 10 rows to one inch on No.10 (3.25 mm) needles.
