A lovely 1940s twin set with two quite different designs that work beautifully together or as separate pieces.
The short-sleeved jumper has a textured moss stitch yoke, a neat little collar and a front button opening. The matching jacket is an edge-to-edge style with a small collar and gently flared bell sleeves, giving it a rather smart finish.
Both garments have an attractive vertical ribbed pattern that adds texture and shape. The jumper would look just as nice worn on its own, while the jacket is a useful extra layer for cooler days.
The original pattern is knitted in 3-ply wool. Please see the second image for full details of the materials and needle sizes required.
Measurements: Jumper to fit a 34-inch bust. Jacket to fit a 34–36-inch bust.
Tension: 7 stitches and 9 rows to 1 inch.
