1940s Cami-knickers Knitting Pattern Bust 32–34
£3.99 – £5.99Price range: £3.99 through £5.99
This camiknickers pattern is designed to create a close-fitting one-piece garment. The shaping is achieved by working with a gradual change of needle sizes, helping the garment fit smoothly through the body. A delicate lace stitch is used throughout, while the upper edge and trims are worked in moss stitch. The gusset fastens with press studs.
The original pattern uses approximately 3 oz (86 g) of 2-ply yarn (similar to a modern lace-weight yarn). You will also need a pair each of No. 8 (4 mm), No. 10 (3.25 mm), No. 12 (2.75 mm) and No. 14 (2 mm) knitting needles.
The original tension is 7 stitches to 1 inch on No. 8 (4 mm) needles and 8 stitches to 1 inch on No. 10 (3.25 mm) needles.
The finished garment is designed to fit a 32–34 inch bust.
