1935 Ribbed Jumper Knitting Pattern – Three Necklines, 36-37″ Bust

Price range: £3.99 through £5.99

A lovely ribbed jumper from 1935, with plenty of ways to make it your own. Choose from a high, low or polo neckline, with either long or short sleeves. It’s a wonderfully versatile pattern, giving you several different looks from one design.

The attractive ribbed pattern adds texture and shape, while the different neckline and sleeve options make it suitable for wearing throughout the year.

Originally knitted in Patons & Baldwins Beehive Shetland Floss, a 2-ply yarn, using old UK needle sizes 8 and 11. The tension is 6 stitches to the inch on No. 8 needles.

The pattern is designed for a 36-37-inch bust, with a front length of 19 inches, back length of 18 inches and a side seam of 12½ inches. The long sleeve seam, including cuff, measures 19 inches.

Always with vintage knitting patterns, it’s worth knitting a tension square before beginning.
