1930s Afternoon Dress Sewing Pattern

This 1937 pattern offers two stylish frocks—one designed for daytime wear and the other suitable
for afternoon through to dinner. Both are cleverly cut to create a slim, elegant silhouette.

View A (Day Frock) features a rever collar that can be worn fixed or detachable, slim sleeves, and
a panelled skirt.

View B (Afternoon to Dinner) has a fixed cascade rever, slimline sleeves with a soft wing detail from
elbow to cuff (which can be left off if preferred), and the same panelled skirt as View A.

The afternoon version would also make a beautiful bridal gown with a longer skirt.

The pattern has been re-drafted to its original size, fitting a 38-inch bust and 46-inch hip.
