This charming 1934 jumper is worked in a slightly unusual way, knitted sideways to create
that distinctive vintage look, then finished by picking up stitches for the ribbing at the waist,
neckline, and cuffs. The result is a beautifully neat fit, with a classic round neckline that sits
perfectly under any style of collar, making it an ideal piece to wear with a suit or on its own.

Originally, this design was made using Patons Rose fingering 3 ply yarn, requiring approximately
12 oz (around 350g) across the different colours to achieve the striped effect. You’ll need a pair
of 3.75mm (No. 9) needles, along with a set of 3.25mm (No. 10) double-pointed needles for
working the neckline. The tension is 6 stitches and 9 rows to one inch, giving you that authentic
vintage finish.
