1930s Pretty Slimline Vest and Panties Knitting Pattern 32-34 Bust

This matching knitted vest and knickers set dates from 1934 and is worked in an attractive lace stitch using fine 2-ply yarn. The longline vest is shaped to fit neatly at the waist, while the matching knickers complete the set, making it a lovely example of practical everyday knitwear from the early 1930s.

Designed to fit a 32–34 inch bust, the original pattern was knitted in 5 oz (142 g) of 2-ply wool. You will also need a pair each of 3.25 mm (UK No. 10) and 2.75 mm (UK No. 12) knitting needles, ribbon for the shoulder straps and elastic for the knickers.

The original tension is 9 stitches per inch, measured un-stretched.
