1920s Draped Afternoon Dress Sewing Pattern – Asymmetric Skirt & Flared Sleeves

Price range: £10.49 through £20.99

A stylish slip-on dress from the 1920s, with some lovely draped details that make this design a little different. The bodice has a circular flare falling from the right side of the waist, while the long, dart-fitted sleeves feature circular insets between the dart seams.

The attached two-piece skirt has an asymmetric circular drape at the right front, giving the dress plenty of movement. A removable belt completes the look.

There are no original fabric suggestions, but something with a soft drape would work beautifully, such as crepe, silk, viscose prints or a suitable silk jersey.

Measurements: Bust 38 ins (96.5 cm), Hip 42 ins (106.5 cm).

A lovely choice for anyone who enjoys the more unusual cutting and draping techniques of 1920s dressmaking.
