1930s Knitting and Crochet Pattern – Plaid Sun-Back Dress with Bolero and Hat – Bust 34

This stylish 1930s three-piece set includes a sleeveless dress with an open sun-back, a neat
cropped bolero, and a matching crocheted hat.

The dress is worked in plain filet mesh with horizontal colour stripes. A simple vertical
backstitch, worked with a darning needle, creates the plaid design by aligning with the
stripes. The bolero is knitted on two needles using two strands of yarn for structure.
The hat is crocheted to complete the set.

Originally designed for Minerva Velveen 4-ply fingering yarn (see image for details).
