1950s Floral Embroidered Tyrolean Cardigan Knitting Pattern – Bust 32–40

This vintage knitting pattern is for a textured cardigan with integrated borders and an embroidered floral design.

The cardigan is worked in a combination of reverse purl and knit stitches, creating the textured surface without the need for a complicated stitch pattern.

A floral embroidery design is also included. This can be traced onto paper and used as a guide for adding the decoration after the cardigan has been knitted.

Originally worked in 4-ply yarn, the pattern uses old UK No. 7 (4.5 mm) needles.

The stated tension is 6 stitches and 8 rows to one inch.

Five sizes are included, to fit bust measurements of 32, 34, 36, 38 and 40 inches (81.5–101.5 cm).
