1940s Women’s Pussy Bow Twin Set Knitting Pattern – Cable Knit

Dating from 1947, this knitted twin set includes a V-neck cardigan and a short-sleeved sweater with a pussy-bow neckline. A zigzag cable pattern runs through the design, adding texture to both pieces.

The cardigan can be knitted with either short or long sleeves, giving you two versions from the same pattern.

Designed to fit a 32–34 inch (81–86 cm) bust, the original pattern uses Patons Beehive Fingering 2-ply yarn. Approximately 10 oz (284 g) is required for the cardigan.

The pattern uses old UK No. 10 (3.25 mm) and No. 12 (2.75 mm) knitting needles, with a required tension of 8 stitches to 1 inch (2.5 cm) measured over the zigzag pattern.
