1950s Edge-to-Edge Bolero Jacket Knitting Pattern – Magyar Sleeves, Bust 32–38

This vintage knitting pattern is for a simple edge-to-edge bolero jacket, worked in double knitting yarn.

The bolero is knitted in just two pieces using a textured ridge pattern, with the sleeves worked in Magyar style as part of the garment. A little crochet is required for the finishing.

Originally knitted in Ladyship Chubby DK, the pattern requires approximately 10–11 oz (285–315 g) of yarn depending on size.

Old UK No. 9 (3.75 mm) and No. 7 (4.5 mm) needles are required.

The stated tension is 5 stitches and 7 rows to one inch.

Four sizes are included, to fit bust measurements of 32, 34, 36 and 38 inches.

To fit bust: 32–38 inches.
