1950s Scoop Neck Cardigan Knitting Pattern – Bust 34–38

This 1950s knitting pattern is for a scoop-neck cardigan with three-quarter length sleeves.

The cardigan is worked throughout in stocking stitch, giving it a simple, uncluttered finish with the wide scoop neckline as the main feature.

Originally knitted in Penelope’s W.B. Kwiknit DK, the pattern requires approximately 14–15 oz (397–426 g) of yarn depending on size.

Old UK No. 8 (4 mm) and No. 10 (3.25 mm) needles are required.

The stated tension is 5½ stitches to one inch.

Three sizes are included, to fit bust measurements of 34, 36 and 38 inches.
