1950s Four-Panel Flared Skirt Sewing Pattern – Wide Waistband & Detachable Collar

Price range: £9.99 through £19.99

This vintage sewing pattern is for a softly flared four-panel skirt with a wide waistband and a matching detachable collar.

The skirt has a left-side opening and a gently flared shape with enough fullness for movement without being particularly full. The separate collar can be worn with a sweater or blouse to coordinate with the skirt.

Suitable fabrics include woollens, gabardine, tweed, linen, cotton and corduroy. Tartan, checks or heavier floral fabrics would also work well for a cooler-weather version.

The pattern is drafted for a 26-inch waist and is suitable for a confident beginner upwards.

Step-by-step instructions are included, together with an additional sewing guide to help with construction.

Waist 26 inches.
