1930s Textured Short Sleeve Jumper Knitting Pattern – Bust 31–35″

A lovely 1935 jumper with a simple shirt-style shape and an unusual all-over pattern of little knitted bells. Although it looks intricate, the bell pattern is surprisingly easy to work.

The jumper has short sleeves, a neat collar and buttoned neck opening, with ribbed bands at the sleeves and waist.

The original used Paton’s Australia Azalea Crochet, a light fingering 3-ply wool. Approximately 6–7 oz (171–199 g) is required, depending on size, together with UK No. 10 (3.25 mm) and UK No. 12 (2.75 mm) needles.

Available in three sizes to fit busts 31–32 in (79–81 cm), 33–34 in (84–86 cm) and 34–35 in (86–89 cm).

Tension: 2 bell motifs measure 1½ in (3.8 cm) across the base.
