This vintage 1940s bouclé wool knitted dress pattern produces a smart, tailored garment that
looks very much like woven fabric when completed. The dress is worked in stocking stitch and
reverse stocking stitch, with horizontal stripe detailing across the bodice and sleeves.

The skirt is shaped to create a soft pleated effect, and the dress fastens at the back with
crocheted buttons, giving it an authentic period finish.

The original pattern was knitted using Patons Super Bouclé yarn on old UK No. 10 (3.25 mm)
needles, with a medium crochet hook used for the buttons and finishing details.
