Description
1936
Another wonderful Bathing suit from the Flirty
Thirties! It’s worked in a horizontal diamond
pattern, with embroidered spots in a contrast
yarn on alternate diamonds. You could just
leave it plain and not bother with the spots.
It’s halter neck with a skirted front.
The original yarn used was Sirdar Sunshine
yarn which according to the info on Ravelry
was a Light Fingering (3 ply lace weight)
100% Wool and came in 28 gram (0.99oz.) balls
You will need 12oz (approx 340g) of main colour
the original was red and 2oz (approx 60g) of a
contrast colour for the embroidered spots
A Pair of No. 12 (2.75mm) needles.
Tension: about 8 sts. and 11 rows to 1 inch
Measurements to fit Bust 32-34ins.
The needles are old sizes so I have included a
conversion chart to help.
The pattern comes as one easy to download
and print PDF
