Description

Paper Pattern

Pretty 1941 print dress and matching knickers for a 3-4 year old.
The dress has an unusual front that curves below the chest and
you gather the skirt either side of it so it sits over the skirt on the
outside when put together. You then cover the seam with bias or
similar trimming to finish the edges

Materials: 2 yards (or meters) of 36 inch wide fabric in any
cotton or cotton blend 3 yards or meters of matching bias
binding 4 pearl buttons and elastic.

Skill: level: Advanced Beginner

I made this one up myself in cotton and it was a very easy
pattern to use. I trimmed mine with bias binding and did the
same round the sleeve edges. I was very pleased with the
result as sometimes these old patterns can be difficult to
follow.
