Description
For winter warmth a neat Balaclava and fingerless mitts in
D.K yarn. They are very quick to knit, the helmet in single
rib and the mitts in stocking-stitch with ribbed wrists.
Instructions are given for three sizes.
Measurements:
5-8 yrs around face approx 12.5 ins. stretching to 15 ins.
9-12 yrs around face approx 14.5 ins. stretching to 18 ins.
Teenage/Adult around face approx 16.75ins. to 22 ins.
Tension: over the rib unstretched 8 sts. and 7 rows to an inch
Needles size No. 8 and 10 (old sizes)
The needles are old sizes so I have included a conversion
chart for reference to modern sizes.
