Description
A Traditional looking Fair Isle sweater from the 1960’s. It has a plain bordered
body with Fair Isle yoke that is worked from a chart. The yoke and neckline are
worked on 4 needles, so a bit more involved.
The original yarn used was Templeton’s ‘Double Scotch’ or’ Ayr’ D.K
The needle sizes No. 9 and 11 (old UK sizes)
TENSION: 6 sts. to 1 inch over stocking-stitch on No. 9 needles
MEASUREMENTS To fit 34-36-38-40 inch Bust
The needles are old sizes so I have included a conversion chart for
reference to modern sizes.
