1950’s Gentleman’s Winter Waistcoat PDF Knitting Pattern

A Fine Gentleman’s Winter waistcoat worked in a
mock tweed stitch. The pattern is reverse stocking
stitch. All the knitting is done with the main wool
held in the right hand and the contrasting wool is
woven in and held in the left hand. The fronts are
patterned the back is plain.

The original yarn used is Patons Moorland D.K on
No. 11 and 8 needles (old sizes)

Tension 4.5 sts. to an inch over pattern on No. 8
(4mm) needles

Measurements to fit 2 sizes:
35-37 and 38-40 inch Chest
Length 21 inches from top of shoulder to lower
edge of back (both sizes)

The needles are old sizes so I have included a
conversion chart TO HELP
