1950/60’s Men’s or Boy’s Chunky Jacket Knitting Pattern – PDF Instant Download

22 in stock

A chunky Knit from either the late fifties or early sixties (hard to tell,
men’s fashions didn’t really change that much during this period)
It’s for a Cardigan with shawl collar that can be knitted from a 34 to
44 inch chest and you could knit it for yourself as well as the design is
pretty gender neutral

The original Yarn was Bellmans Chunky crepe and needle sizes
No. 8 and No. 6 (old UK sizes)

I would best guess that this yarn is probably more like an Aran than
a chunky. Can’t find any reference to the actual weight, so definitely
knit a tension square in various yarns to make sure.

Sizes to fit between 34 – 44 inch Chest.

TENSION: 5 sts. and 8 rows to 1 inch over pattern

The needles are old sizes so I have included a conversion chart for
reference to modern sizes.

The pattern comes as one easy to download and print PDF
