Description
A really cute little cape from 1942. It’s worked in
simple stocking stitch and two pieces make up
the main body of the cape, with a collar piece for
the inside and shoulder pieces added after.
The edges are finished with crochet and then the
shoulder pads are added and the whole thing is
then placed over a lining material and finished.
The front is held together with three little buttons
and loops.
The original yarn used was either Cairn Rimple or
Patons Super Boucelet. I can’t find any info on
these yarns, so on guess only would say it’s
probably a 3 or 4 ply.
Materials:
7oz (200g) of boucle yarn 4oz (115g) Black and 3oz
(86g) white. Pair No. 12 (2.75mm)
