Description
Striped Jumper from the 1940’s war years with
short or long sleeves. It’s was worked in Sun-glo
Shrink proof or ‘Sunbeam’ Super 3-ply fingering
on No. 10 and 12 needles. The larger size is achieved
by replacing the No. 10 needles for No. 9.
The yarn came in skeins and I couldn’t find any
reference to skein weight, so am assuming they
might be 2 oz skeins. Please check yourself as
I’m only guessing.
You’ll need 7 skeins for the short sleeve and 9
for the long.
Measurements to fit a 32/34 or 36 inch Bust
Length from top of shoulder to lower edge 20 ins
length of short sleeve seam 5 ins
TENSION: 7 sts. 1 inch 9 rows 1 inch
The needles are old sizes so I have included a
conversion chart to help.
