1940s Wartime Patchwork Sweater Knitting Pattern – Instant Download

19 in stock

A truly thrifty wartime knit. This one is worked in a variety of bright
colours. The yarn recommended was Patons Beehive 3 ply fingering,
which is probably more like a modern 4 ply. But you could quite easily
use up all your left over 3/4 ply (as long as you have enough). This is
probably what the ladies of this era did when wool was in short supply
or they didn’t have enough coupons to buy.

Needles used No. 10 and 11 (old size UK)

Tension is 7.5 sts. to an inch on No. 10 needles Make a tension square
and check before starting to knit.

Measurements to fit: 32-34 inch Bust

The needles are old sizes so I have included a conversion chart
for reference to modern sizes.
