Description
With the inability to buy anything new due to
rationing. The prospect of knitting something
new was a treat. These knitted accessories
would have cheered even the most austere
of times.
There is a doily to knit for the home, a bow tie
to brighten up an old blouse, a necklace, and
a pretty collar to give a lift to an old sweater.
All crocheted in something called art silk, which
I would assume was a fine crochet yarn (something
like an embroidery silk maybe) on a No. 3.5
crochet hook.
