1940’s Two Simple Jumpers PDF Knitting Pattern Bust 33-36

Two simple jumpers with very pretty necklines. The
one on the cover is worked in stocking stitch with a
deep pointed yoke of ribbing. The second (blue) has
an unusual high square neckline. The front and back
neck straps are ribbed horizontally and the back
strap is knitted in one with the shallow shoulder yokes.
The sleeve tops are squared with small pleats giving
a perfect shoulder line, this one is a very fine knit.

GreenJumper will measure about 33 inches all round
underarms, but will stretch up to a 36 inch Bust.
Blue jumper with ribbing un-stretched will measure
about 30 inches all round at underarm, stretching to
35 inches.

Original yarn used for both jumpers was: Sirdar Super
Shetland 3 ply (100% wool). You will need 8 ozs. (approx
227g) for the Green jumper and 9ozs. (approx 255g)
for the Blue jumper.

TENSION: Green Jumper 8 sts. and 10 rows to 1 inch
Blue jumper 12 rows to 1 inch in depth and 25 sts. to
2 inches in width.
