1940’s Striped Twin Set Knitting Pattern in Two Sizes 34 and 36

A simple twin set with a plain cardigan and striped
and embroidered jumper. The cardigan is worked
in stocking stitch with ribbed welts and the jumper
is worked in stocking stitch with a hole pattern
worked in between stripes, that is embroidered
afterwards with a herring bone stitch in a
contrast colour.

The original yarn used was: Emu Scotch Fair Isle
8 (9) ozs for the the cardigan and 8 ozs. for the
Jumper (2 ozs. colour one and 3 ozs each contrast
shades) Pair each No. 10 and 12 needles (Old UK)

TENSION: 8 sts. and 10 rows to one inch

The needles are old U.K sizes so I have included a
conversion chart to help with metric and US sizes
