Description
A Cute little sweater from 1941. Produced during the rationing era,
it’s worked from side to side in alternating stripes. The yarn used
was 2 ply on No. 10 and 12 needles. 6oz (170 grams) of grey for
the man colour with oddments of flame and navy for alternating
the stripes.
You could try 3 or 4 ply as well. But always check the tension first
making sure you get it right before commencing.
TENSION : 8 sts. and 11 rows to 1 inch
Measurements to fit: 33-35 inch Bust
Length from top of shoulder 19 inches
Sleeve seam 4 inches
The needles are old sizes so I have included a conversion
chart for reference to modern sizes.
The pattern comes as one easy to download and print PDF
