Description
A Peasant or Tyrolean style cardigan for Mother
and daughter. The main part is worked in stocking
stitch, the sleeves and bands in a basket stitch,
with ribbed yokes, and finished with crochet
around the edges. It’s worked in sports yarn but
there is no mention of thickness. I’m guessing
it’s a DK, but don’t take my word for it, check
the tension yourself.
The original yarn used was 14 ozs. of Sports
wool in main shade and 2 ozs. in contrast
shade. A Pair of No. 8 (4mm). A crochet hook
and 9 buttons.
Tension: 5-1/2 sts. to one inch
To fit a 30 or 34-inch Bust
The needles are old sizes so I have included a
conversion chart to help.
