The ever New Wonder Sock that needs no darning.
A perfect economy knit for the wartime rationing
era. They are worked on 4 needles so you will need
to be experienced to knit these.
Cleverly knitted so you can change out the heels
and toes when they wear, while keeping the body
of the sock intact. You can make them either lighter
wear or heavy wear just by changing the yarn used.
3ply for lighter and 4 ply for the heavier.
You will need for the lighter weight socks 4oz
(approx 120g) of 3 ply and 5oz (approx 150g) of
4 ply for the heavier socks. A set of 4 needles
No. 14 for the 3 ply and No. 12 for the heavy.
Will fit a 10 inch foot.
The needles are old sizes so I have included a
conversion chart to help
