1940’s Make Do and Mend Button-up Sweater PDF Knitting Pattern Bust 34-36

Description

Any old hand knitted jumper of 3 ply fingering could
be unraveled to make this pretty jumper, using new
3 ply fingering for the contrast.

The button-up yoke and panel of this pretty jumper
is knitted in moss-stitch. The back has a straight yoke.

The advice in the pattern includes how to rewind and
wash an old jumper to make up the main yarn and use
new yarn for the contrast.

You will need 6 ozs. (approx 170g) of 3 ply in a dark
shade (the original was brown) and 3ozs. (approx 85g)
in a light shade to contrast (the original was yellow)
Pair each of No. 10 and 12 (Old UK) needles, a medium
crochet hook and 7 button moulds.

To Fit a 34-36 inch Bust.

TENSION: on No. 10 (3.25mm) 8 sts. to 1 inch in width
and 10 rows to 1 inches in depth over stocking-stitch

The needles are old U.K sizes so I have included a
conversion chart to help with modern and US sizes

The pattern comes as one easy to download and
