This is a great pattern for Reenactors or anyone who
just loves the 1940’s like I do!
This is the description from the actual pattern
“This neatly patterned pullover has been specially
designed to meet the needs of the land army girls.
The matching hose will have double appeal to
the lucky recipient of this trim set”
The materials you will need to knit this wonderful
jumper and socks are as follows:
LAND ARMY PULLOVER
MATERIALS.-10 ozs. (290g) W.B. SUPER GLOVE AND
SOCK WOOL – 4ply will be about the same
1 pair No.11 Milward ‘s ” Phantom ” knitting pins.
1 pair No. 9 Milward ‘s ” Phantom ” knitting pins.
MEASUREMENTS.-Length from top of shoulder to lower
edge 19 inches. Width all round underarm -to fit a 34
inch bust . Length of sleeve seam , 19 inches.
STOCKINGS (HOSE)
MATERIALS.-4 ozs. W.B. SUPER GLOVE A N D SOCK
WOOL. 4ply will work. 1 set of 4 double point – No. 11
Milward ‘s “Casein ” knitting pins.
MEASUREMENTS.-To fit an average foot .
The needles are old sizes so I have included a conversion
chart to help
The pattern sheet comes in A4 format and all you need
to do is print and use.
