1940’s Ladies Suit Skirt and Jacket PDF Knitting Pattern Bust 34

For chilly days this suit with the longer line jacket
and swing skirt with moulded hips, is definitely
flattering. The Jacket has a textured feel with a
rever collar and pockets at the font. The skirt is
worked on a circular needle and finished at the
hem with 1 row of d.c

To Fit a 34 inch Bust

Original yarn used for Jacket: 13 ozs. (369g) of
Copley’s 4 ply Excelsior Wool. A pair each
No. 9 (3.75mm) and No. 10 (3.25mm) needles.
13 Buttons and shoulder pads. For the Skirt:
11 ozs. (312g) of Copleys 4 ply Excelsior Wool
A No. 9 (3.75mm) circular needle. A length of
elastic to fit and a No. 12 (2.75mm) crochet

TENSION: On No. 9 (3.75mm) Needles 6.5 sts.
and 8.5 rows to 1 square inch on smooth fabric.
The needles are old U.K sizes so I have included
a conversion chart to help.
