Description
Two sock designs. One is a Tennis sock the other a
Fancy stitch. Both are worked in 3 ply and knitted
on three needles, so experience knitting socks and
how to turn a heel would be good. But don’t let
that put you off, have a go.
Foot length is 9.5 inches for both designs
Original yarn used was: W.B Melody 3 ply and you
will need 2 ozs for each pair, plus 1oz of contrast
for the Tennis socks. A set of No. 12 (2.75mm)
double ended needles.
TENSION:
For the Tennis socks over stocking stitch 17 sts. to
2 inches in width – 11 rows to 1 inch in depth
For the Fancy Socks over pattern 15 sts. to 2 inches
in width
The needles are old sizes so I have included a
conversion chart to help.
