This simple to knit ribbed color block Cardigan/
sweater is from 1943 and great for using up
odds and ends of different wool. The pattern is
achieved by alternating the rib pattern every 6
rows giving a staggered look. (6 rows K.1, P. 1
rib then 6 rows P. 1, K. 1 rib). The neck and front
bands are worked on afterwards.
The original yarn used was: Patons Beehive
fingering 3 ply and you will need 8 ozs. (230g)
in total 4ozs. (114g) main shade and 2 ozs. (57g)
each of contrasting shades. Pair each of No. 9
(3.75mm) and No. 11 (3mm) needles. 8 Buttons.
