Another really simple 1940’s colour block sweater
from 1944. It was designed with thrift in mind due
to rationing. It was worked in 3 or 4 ply, whatever
you had spare at the time. Various widths of rib
make up the pattern.

Recommended yarn was Patons Beehive fingering
ply 7.5 oz. (213g) in total and Pair each No. 10 and
11 (Old UK size) needles.

TENSION: 10 sts. to an inch over unstretched rib
on No. 10needles.

To fit bust 32-34 ins.

I’ve included a simple needle and hook conversion
chart to help with the old or US sizes
