1940’s Afternoon Cocktail Dress PDF Sewing Pattern Bust 38″

46 in stock

This one is probably from the very late 30’s early
40’s, just at the start of WW2. It’s a pretty simple
dress with a V neck bloused bodice that has a front
waist yoke, short or long sleeves. Has a back neck
and side placket opening. The skirt has an inverted
pleat at the back and a center pleated section at
the front. A belt that is inserted either side of the
bodice and the two straps buckle at the back. To
finish you make two small bows and place at the
center front of the waist yoke.

As usual with these early patterns there are no fabric
suggestions. But try something like wool crepe, linen,
lightweight velvet maybe and cotton

To fit Bust 38 ins.

The pattern comes with instructions and a
helpful sewing guide.
