Description
Very simple stitches are used throughout for
this delightful Jumper-Jacket and Skirt from
the late 1930s. The Jacket is worked in stocking
stitch with garter stitch borders and the Skirt
in ordinary plain and purl ribbing. Can be knitted
with long or short sleeves
Measurements to fit: Cardigan 34 inch Bust:
Skirt 37 Hip
The original yarn used was Golden Eagle Polynit
fingering-de-
Luxe 4 ply.
You will need 14oz (approx 400g) in dark shade
for the skirt and borders. 7oz (approx 200g) in
light shade for the Jacket (short sleeves). No. 8
and 10 needles (Old UK sizes)
TENSION: 7 sts. and 8 rows to 1 inch on No. 8
needles (4mm)
